The Ballad of Pink and Blue

Play Arrow
Watch Intro Video

Over a ten-year period Fritz Ridenour was my editor. He soon became a family friend. Because of that he penned a poem for the wedding of Joy Eggerichs and Matt Reed. Those of you who know the love and respect message and all of our tag lines will appreciate his brilliance.

THE BALLAD OF PINK AND BLUE

Just for Joy and Matt

Yes…Pink and Blue

The two of you

Soon to discover

How different your lover

As each talks in unique code

Life at times will be the load

That every couple has to carry

When they choose to up and marry.

So…Pink and Blue…what can you do?

To keep your marriage straight and true?

The Crazy Cycle need not win

It can be stopped…and seldom spin…

…if you…

Tread carefully…don’t come to blows

By crimping her (or his) air hose

Ready these words must ever be:

“I was wrong…will you forgive me?”

With all these dangers to wedded bliss

Is there some way to “never miss”?

Yes!  You can have a marriage “perfect”

With all your hearts…Love…and…Respect!

Of course,  you know this…you’re quite sure…

Nonetheless, to stay secure…

When differences grow ever bolder

Just look for Him

O’er the other’s shoulder!

Yes…Pink and Blue…are colors made

To blend into one lovely shade

Of richest purple…His royal hue

What He will make of the two of you!

Love and Respect will never fail ya’

Just keep repeating…Bambalela!

You’ll make mistakes…you will trip up

In Him you’re safe…never give up!
