Lightbulb Moments in Marriage Part 3: Our Inner Competencies
What if there’s something inside of you—placed there by the Lord—that you know is real… but you haven’t fully tapped into it yet?
Something strong. Something steady. Something wise.
In this February webinar, based on my new book Lightbulb Moments in Marriage (released January 27, 2026), we’ll explore what it looks like to grow in emotional clarity, inner peace, and spiritual wisdom—especially when marriage feels tense or confusing. You’ll be invited into questions like:
- What if the stress I feel isn’t a dead end—but a signal I can finally understand?
- Could emotional clarity actually strengthen our connection?
- Is it possible to experience peace—even when everything isn’t perfect?
- What would change if I saw my emotions not as enemies, but as guides?
- What if one unexpected insight could bring more calm and joy into my marriage?
Scripture tells us, “It is God who is at work in you…” (Philippians 2:13). But what is that work? And how do we recognize it—especially in emotionally charged moments?
This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about discovering what God is already doing in you—and how that one insight might change everything.
Questions to Consider
- What defensive reactions in your own marriage might actually be coming across as offensive to your spouse, and how could greater self-awareness change that dynamic?
- How often do you catch yourself using negativity or withdrawal as a way to "motivate" your spouse, and what might happen if you chose authentic love or respect instead?
- In your recent conflicts, were offenses truly intended, or were they defensive reactions born from feeling unloved or disrespected—how would forgiveness look different if you reframed them that way?
- If your response truly is your responsibility, not your spouse's, what one area of freedom or strength could you claim right now to stop blaming and start growing?
