Meet Tony and Ginger. Be encouraged as they share how their broken marriage was restored. As Tony states, “Love and Respect is good, practical, down-to-earth advice.” Listen as they share how these principles helped them see each other in a new way and how they made a conscious choice to do things differently.

Shifted Thinking

Ginger shares that she was always blaming Tony for things that she didn’t want to look at in the mirror. She now sees that she was really the problem some of the time. Tony admits to putting up walls and doing things that killed the love in the marriage.

It all came to a head when their daughter was struggling with an eating disorder. Emotionally and financially, Tony could not handle it and decided it was time to move out.

I prayed that God would heal our marriage.

Ginger prayed that God would heal her marriage and their family. A few days later Tony called. He couldn’t go through with leaving. “We talked and poured it out. We cared about each other.”

“There is so much freedom. I am not bitter or angry or anxious. I am even applying this towards my daughter and it works biting your tongue sometimes,” explains Ginger.

Tony agrees, “I am not going to watch my marriage disintegrate. It’s not easy. It is incredibly hard work but it’s worth every minute of the effort.”

We rejoice with Tony and Ginger for all that God has done in their marriage and family! We hope their story inspires you to make the effort to apply Love and Respect to your marriage. Like Tony says, it’s worth every minute of the effort!   ~ Emerson
