You can't do their part. But you can still do yours. This track isn't about taking responsibility for your spouse's choices or pretending their actions don't matter. It's about recognizing what you can control, understanding what you can't, and learning how to respond in ways that are healthy, wise, and consistent with who God is calling you to be.

Where are you starting from?

What you'll walk away with:

a christian cross
Why one spouse genuinely can change the temperature of a marriage, and what that influence actually looks like
an open book
What your spouse's withdrawal and silence usually mean, and why it is rarely what you fear
two arrows in a circle showing the crazy cycle
Whether unconditional love and respect make you a fool or a doormat, answered directly
two lines merging into one traveling upward
How to guard your heart against bitterness while you wait, without hardening or giving up
a heart with a heart beat monitor line
Why your obedience is seen and rewarded by God whether or not your spouse ever responds
a hand with a heart hovering above it showing care
Real stories of marriages that changed after one person kept going alone for a long time

Together or Alone:

DOING THIS TOGETHER
Read these together and talk honestly about whether you each believe God is for your marriage. You may answer that differently, and it is better to know now than five modules in.
DOING THIS ALONE
You do not need your spouse's agreement to begin. Who you are in Christ is not something your marriage gives you or takes away. Start here on your own and let this settle who you are before you work on what you do.

01

You Are Not Powerless

This is some text inside of a div block.
Arrow
You cannot change your spouse. You can change the one thing your spouse is actually responding to, which is you.

The question underneath everything else is whether any of this is worth doing if your spouse is not doing it with you. The honest answer is that you have no control over your spouse and real influence on your marriage. Those are not the same thing, and confusing them is what leaves people either trying to manage another adult or giving up entirely. This module draws the line between control and influence, and shows what actually moves when only one person moves.

Name one thing you have been trying to control in your spouse. What would it look like to release that and influence instead?
02

When They Won't Engage

This is some text inside of a div block.
Arrow
Withdrawal usually is not rejection. It is often the sound of someone who has run out of ways to say what they are feeling.

The silence is what breaks people. Your spouse will not read the book, will not talk about it, or shuts down the moment you bring it up, and it lands as proof that they have stopped caring. That reading is usually wrong. Withdrawal has a cause, and once you understand what is actually happening on the other side of that wall, the wall stops feeling like a verdict on your marriage. This module explains why husbands withdraw, why wives withdraw, and what to do when the person you married has gone quiet.

The last time your spouse withdrew, what did you decide it meant? What else could it have meant?
03

Am I Being a Fool?

This is some text inside of a div block.
Arrow
Unconditional does not mean unlimited. Loving or respecting someone who is not returning it is not weakness, and it is not permission.

Every person carrying a marriage alone eventually asks it: am I a fool for doing this? Am I letting myself be used? The question deserves a real answer, not reassurance. Unconditional love and unconditional respect are not the same as tolerating anything. This module draws the line between obedience and enabling, addresses the doormat fear head on, and answers whether ordinary people are even capable of this in the first place.

Where is the line for you between showing unconditional respect and tolerating something you should not? Can you name it specifically?
04

Guarding Your Heart

This is some text inside of a div block.
Arrow
Bitterness is what happens when you keep giving and keep score at the same time. You can put the record down before your spouse ever changes.

This is where people who are trying alone quietly break. Not in a blowup, but in a slow hardening that turns love into duty and duty into resentment. Bitterness rarely announces itself. It just accumulates. This module is about protecting your own heart while you wait, which includes forgiving someone who has not apologized, being honest about anger toward God, and finding peace that does not depend on your spouse being happy.

What have you technically forgiven but still keep a record of? What would it cost you to actually let it go?
05

Hope When Nothing Changes

This is some text inside of a div block.
Arrow
Your obedience is seen and rewarded by God whether or not your spouse ever responds. That is not a consolation prize. It is the point.

If your reason for loving or respecting your spouse is that it will make them change, you will run out of reason. Some spouses respond. Some do not, at least not yet. This module moves the center of gravity off your spouse's response and onto Christ, which is the only place it can rest without collapsing. It also includes stories of marriages that turned after one person kept going alone for a long time, because those stories are true too.

If your spouse never changed, would you still want to be the kind of person this module describes? What would that cost, and what would it be worth?
Real Testimonies
"Instead of jumping on the crazy cycle, I've begun to recognize the signs and symptoms of the crazy cycle and it has changed how I respond. I have seen a change in my husband and it’s amazing."
Wife
"I am applying respect into my marriage and it has really helped me through the tough, lonely and hurtful parts in still staying the course. I am forever changed and am praising God for this change."
Wife
"The divorce papers were in the car. We were separated, we'd tried counseling, prayer, and after 16 years I knew it was over. We are reconciled. I've stopped the divorce."
